Florida Judiciary committees and subcommittees to meet, will hear presentations on issues related to electronic filing of court documents

The Florida Senate Judiciary Committee will meet on October 18 to examine several issues, including presentations on issues related to electronic filing of court documents.

Also on the agenda:

  • SB 186 Misdemeanor Pretrial Substance Abuse Programs
  • SM 240 Exercise of Federal Power
  • Interim Project 2012-130 (Review Issues and Options Related to Foreclosure Processes)(If report is released)

Also meeting that day are the House Judiciary Committee’s subcommittees.The Criminal Justice Subcommittee will examine pretrial, in-prison, and post-release substance abuse and mental health programs as well as:

  • HB 125 Preventing Deaths from Drug-related Overdoses
  • HB 135 Costs of Prosecution, Investigation, and Representation
  • HB 173 Department of Juvenile Justice
  • HB 177 Inmate Reentry
  • HB 183 Misdemeanor Pretrial Substance Abuse Programs
  • HB 189 Unauthorized Copying of Recordings

Shortly thereafter, the Civil Justice Subcommittee will examine

  • HB 103 Transfer of Tax Liability
    HB 4047 Judicial Census Commissions
    HB 4049 Veteran’s Guardianship
