North Dakota Interim Judiciary Committee to look at variety of issues

July 26 the North Dakota legislature’s interim judiciary committee will examine a variety of issues, including background information, testimony, and committee discussion concerning:

  • a study of statutes of limitation and venue requirements for civil actions in North Dakota (HB 1365)
  • a study of the eligibility requirements for the veterans’, charitable, educational, religious, fraternal, civic and service, public safety, and public-spirited organizations that conduct charitable gaming (SB 2042)
  • a study of the feasibility and desirability of adopting the Uniform Electronic Recording of Custodial Interrogations Act (SB 2125)
  • a study of the issue of juvenile court jurisdiction and the adult court transfer process and whether any additional juvenile court jurisdictional extensions would serve the best interests of the child and the public in cases in which the child is close to the age of majority (SB 2305)
  • a study of the feasibility and desirability of adopting the Revised Uniform Limited Liability Company Act (HCR 3011)
